Increasing usefulness of a Model A?

Yes my A does have power trol. That's another reason I've considered it. A friend has an "M" with the 3 point and uses it often but I think he is mostly moving trailers around his place.

Increasing usefulness of a Model A?

So is there an aftermarket 3 point that anyone is familiar or recommend. I'm not moving bales often, the extent would be a couple hundred yards. It might be worth trying rather than spending the thousands on another machine.

Increasing usefulness of a Model A?

I agree with the being "satisfied " aspect and that's why I'm looking for input. I have the tractor, if i was buying it to do these things i wouldn't have chosen the "A". Ive looked at aftermarket 3 point systems and they seem to vary in price and quality. Is it worth the time and expense...

Increasing usefulness of a Model A?

I agree 5 acres isn't much. I'm actually a city boy from the Chicago-land area. I'm a lifelong industrial maintenance mechanic so I was a good fit in this environment with all the broken equipment or things that need maintenance, probably why I was so appealing to the woman that lived here...

Increasing usefulness of a Model A?

That's what I was thinking. I've been considering a skid steer but haven't pulled the trigger. Besides the initial cost I'm pretty busy around here and didn't want to add more machines to the maintenance list. Thanks for your input!

Increasing usefulness of a Model A?

Good morning. I have a 49 model A. I'm not using it for much. The only real work it's done is pulling my ground driven manure spreader. The 49 has an older restoration, I'm not a collector and want to get it out more. I wouldn't have considered buying this but it was an "in the family...

    John Deere A Transmission Fluid

80-90 is what I used. I start reading about things like this on the internet and other individuals comments and then I question my initial thoughts on what to use thanks

    John Deere A Transmission Fluid

I used gl1 90wt in my old Ford tractor transmissions. It is mineral for yellow metal compatibility. It's just not locally available so I'd prefer to switch to 85-140 but that is going to be a gl5 type.

    John Deere A Transmission Fluid

Good morning. Recently became owner of a 1950 A. Got it running good. Now onto fluids...I've read much on this and there seems to be so many different/conflicting recommendations between weights, etc. My biggest concern is the gl1 vs gl5 debate. I was able to get gl1 90wt easy enough but...
