    The serial plate has been removed on my 674. Its has the 239D engine. Im going to post a pic of the Numbers on the starter. Can you guys take a look at it, and tell me what Starter I need to order?

    IH 674 Starter replacement

    I have the D239 engine and the starter has never turned the engine quite fast enough. What could I do to improve this problem? Is there a better starter out there for the 674 than the original?

    Fuel return hose size IH 674 diesel 239 engine

    Yes, its unreal what they want for it. I went to a sthil dealer and got the black fuel line. It fixed the problem for now. I can buy alot of fuel line for what CIH wants for their part.

    I thought about doing that very same thing. I guess if it will push over the barb it will be big enough for the fuel to pass through at the correct rate of flow?

    Does any one know what size the little return hose is coming off the injectors. I have the return line part number 3218124R1. There is 2 different part numbers for the 674. It looks like with what I got that the fuel hose just pushes over a barb. Im wondering if I could just replace the hose on...

    Ih674 ?

    I replaced all the filter gaskets and bled the system. It is much better but, after running for awhile I had air showing up in the sediment bowl. I went ahead and drained the tank and pulled all the fittings out and checked them for a restriction. There is rust and stuff built up in the bottom...

    have the 2 filters on the right side that has the bolt through the filter Assembly and has the glass bowls with a drain incorporated into the bolt that goes up through the filter.

    I got the gaskets put on the drain screw. All the gaskets are brand new. Im not seeing any bubbles but its still wants to sputter at top end like it's fuel-starved but the bowls remain full of fuel. It seems like it is not getting full throttle even when its not sputtering. The gaskets greatly...
