John Deere 1020 Hydraulic pump. Need advice and information.
I have to assume the housings may be different. My housing has a 39177 shaft with the bushing, I have the dimensions for the needle bearing 1"X1-5/16"X1-1/4" I am not sure which of the measurements is O.D. but when I get home from work I will mic the inside of the housing and see what that I.D...- Blastfurnace

An update in case anyone in the future finds this post. Upon Tear down of the pump the shaft is stamped with R39177. This shaft uses Bushings for support. I am currently determining if I can use the R39319 Shaft as a replacement. That shaft uses Needle Bearings but I am not sure which set of...- Blastfurnace

Steve, Did you ever sort this out? I am doing my first hydraulic pump and am finding the same thing. My pump has an R39177 and bushings. the parts catalog isn't clear but it looks like the R39319 uses the needle bearings. the rebuild kits use different seal and O-ring numbers than the parts...- Blastfurnace

John Deere 1020 Hydraulic pump. Need advice and information.
Thanks for the Info. The only thing I was unsure of was the engine. This tractor was factory gasoline engine tractor but dad put a diesel in it 20 years or so ago. I don't think he changed the hydraulic pump. I will get that service manual and see what it looks like. thanks Mark- Blastfurnace

Which manual is the rebuild of these pumps in? I don't think it's in the tech manual for the tractor. Also Ar103033 which rebuild kit does it use. I am not sure how to find the kits for these pumps. thanks- Blastfurnace
