ATH 720 BrushHog Finishing Mower Replacement belt

I'm located on Cedar Creek lake near Mabank, Gun Barrel City, and Athens. I'm looking for a source to replace the 156" v-belt on my 72" brush hog finishing mower but either not searching online properly or there aren't any [u:4756391c50]local[/u:4756391c50] parts sources. I tried Tractor...

    Exhaust leak

yep, ditto what the others had to say. A new gasket set is about 6-7.00 plus maybe shipping. Four bolts and you can be leak free......as long as you get the manifold flat against the surface!

    New Exhaust Manifold

Wow, yours was really off. Mine wasn't as obvious as yours. We did the same thing by laying the gasket out and grinding down to it. We also had to grind out two surface areas inside the bolt passages to get the socket head to clear.

    New Exhaust Manifold

UPDATE: My buddy took his grinder to the lower edge of the port openings to insure it would clear the side access plates (aka valve covers  ). I cleaned up the block surfaces and mounted the new manifold again, this time making double sure it cleared the valve cover plates. With...

    New Exhaust Manifold

Where were you when I needed you? Since I had it tightened down while not flush to the block and then it was run for a while, it's entirely possible the extended exposure to high heat could have wracked it.....so rather than risk going through the whole exercise again, to order online or drive...

    New Exhaust Manifold

Well, I figured out what the problem was..... The lower side of the manifold was actually resting on the top edge of the lower side block access plate rather than on the block itself. It was such that you couldn't see it when you looked. Everything looked normal.... It wasn't until I pulled...

    woods finish mower on 8n

Hey, can I jump in? I run with a 6' brush hog finishing mower with no problems at all. [/img] Wow. Pic seems a bit big!

    New Exhaust Manifold

Thanks! Yes, that thought also occurred to me when I first started it up. I'm thinking I'll run it a couple of times more and then pull the manifold off to see of there are signs of sooting/burning on the gasket set. I'll probably still have it machined down.

    New Exhaust Manifold

Yeah, the #4 port on the manifold was shot but fortunately the block surface was pretty much intact and damage free! I read through a fair number of the posts in my early research and decided it was better to order a new one rather than to try and glue, paste, caulk, paper, bubble gum, or...

    New Exhaust Manifold

My neighbor, a member of the local Model A club, helped me work on it was wondering the same thing. I was very disappointed and wondered about the quality when I opened the box ordered from PA, USA only to find a big "made in Taiwan" stamped on the lid. On first fit we had to grind down some...

    New Exhaust Manifold

I just installed a new exhaust manifold on my 8n. Maybe it's just me, but it sounds louder than I would have expected. I can still hear detonation or what sounds like leaking at the manifold but it's bolted down tight with the applicable new gaskets in place. Is that normal? Maybe it's...

    Exhaust Manifold question

Guys, My exhaust manifold has taken to leaking at the rear of the manifold. Originally I thought it was leaking at the exhaust pipe clamp but discovered it was actually the manifold. I've seen comments about just replacing them which I plan to do but not sure how best to get the last bolt...

    8N won't start

Hi guys, I'm posting because I don't have access to my manuals and my 8N won't start. I bought her about 3 years ago, cleaned her up, replaced the pump cylinder and she's been a reliable champ ever since. I last used her about 3 months ago to mow around my mother's place and had no problem...

Tire Service: West, Gholson, Ross or Waco, TX area.

I've got a '49 8n stored at my mother's place that I use to keep the grass down. I've not been out there since earlier this year. A couple of years back I replaced the rear tires due to dry rot. Now it's time to replace the fronts for the same reason. The little tractor repair place nearby...

    unknowen lever

I'll go one further. I found it useful when mowing my two acres of waist/chest high grass and weeds for the first time this year. I found it quite helpful in keeping my 72" finishing mower (only mower I have) from bogging down when the grass got to thick. I discovered it by accident when...
