    john deere clutch

    have a late model john deere b. clutch engages to fast while in reverse. seems to be ok in forward gears. have adjusted clutch per john deere specs several times with no change. I am missing something.

    serial # 4wr-066-st. looks to be in fair condition. just sat for a long time. I am worried about the clutches being frozen up like what happens with the ih dozers. do the oc crawlers clutches freeze up. unable to do anything with this machine until its home. there rules not mine.

    I think there is a gasket at the top for the steering shaft and at the bottom above the round plate where you attach the front end. plan on replacing bearing and seals prior to install. have some oil seeping down out of the bottom around the round plate where you attach the front end assembly...
