    1950-T Break in

I havn't retorqued the head yet. It has less than 10 hours on it right now. I'll follow your advice on retorque and valve adjustment when I get to 100 hours. Also, the over/under is slow to shift from under to direct and has a slow drip, like every 30 seconds form the rear seal. Do you...

    1950-T Break in

We've had the 1950-T since 1973 and the 2-105 since 1976. You don't have to tell me which is more tractor. The T would pull 5 bottoms 7.5 mph. Show me a 2-105 that will do that.

    1950-T Break in

I think the offset bog will be a good mate for it then. It pulls the 2-105 pretty hard, and the 1066 we used to have had all kinds of trouble pulling it,m so I should be able to load it pretty good without overloading it.

    1950-T Break in

Everything is set right and ready to go. I really don't have access to a dyno and need the tractor to plant cotton with in two weeks, so I was trying to figure out a good way to get the rings seated.

    I meant 12 foot bog... 12inch wouldn't be much of a load...

    1950-T Break in

How would you guys break in the engine on my 1950-T. Just finished a complete overhaul. New sleeves, pistons, rings, bearings, and head work. Used old camshaft, rocker arms, and oil pump because the engine was so stout before it was allowed to freeze and bust. I"m thinking I"ll hook the...

    K&M step on Oliver/White

Has anyone ever put a K&M step on an Oliver 1950-T or similar tractor. I'm talking about the ones they make for John Deere 20,30,40,50,55,60 series tractors. It seems like it could be fixed up fairly easily, but I've never seen it done.

170 Workhorse Video and 2-105 Grill

That 195 sure would've been a jewell. Driving for equipment is the only way to go. Every once in a while there will be a worthwhile piece of "Convenient" equipment, but most of the time it is best to find a deal online and drive up to look at it.

Drove up in the diesel VW Beetle. Up one day, back the next... Long trip, but well worth it.

170 Workhorse Video and 2-105 Grill

My dad had that tractor since new, and its all original. My brother posted some pics on a White facebook page. We're an hour south of Nashville, Tennessee. Probably the only workhorse within a 100 miles.

Right that they didn't have headlights. It is a 75 model, but it also doesn't have the chrome strip down the middle. It's the only one I've ever seen like this. It is the Mountain Lake 170, and it did come from Buscher Bros.

170 Workhorse Video and 2-105 Grill

I think olliekid asked for some video of the workhorse. My brother took a few shots yesterday and posted them to his youtube account. I'll link them on here. As we get into some fall tillage work, I'll post more videos pulling the sub-plow, 8 row do-all, etc. Also, watch the video of me...

    2-135 Series III Engine

Thanks John. I know the cabs are nice. We just bought a 170 a month ago for our tillage tractor. We sold our 1066 Monday, and need to replace our planter tractor. I've always been a White/Oliver guy, but I also thought it would be better to spend 10-15k on a Series III or 100 series White...

    2-135 Series III Engine

I have found a nice Series III 2-135. The tractor appears to be well cared for and kept inside most of the time. I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. I have heard that the Herc has longevity issues, especially after 4500 +/- hours. I have also heard the Series III tractors have an improved Herc. If...

    5.9L Cummins factory replacement engine

I'm pretty sure the small "B" and "C" Cummins engines were developed by Case Tenneco and Cummins in the early 80s. Before that Cummins made big ol' truck engines like the big 250.
