    Farmall 230 project

    I've got a 230 as well. Mine's a '57 (first year)...serial is 17xx J. What's yours? Mine runs like a top...did a few things to it to make me happy....pretty much is a barn queen now...I start it every 2 or 3 days just to keep it in good shape....2 pt. hitch with drawbar and a C20 2 bottom plow...

    massey ferguson 150

    Nothing bad..even if you find one with the Cont. Z145 gas engine...also one of the best engines in a small tractor there is...it may use a tad more fuel than the diesel, but around here, gasoline is 45cents a gallon cheaper than diesel...your choice...I love my 135 with the Z engine though...BobinVA

    '57 Farmall 230 with hyd. pump problem....

    My 230 has developed the "empty hyd system/overfull crankcase syndrome...I know there are about 4 O-rings and a oil seal between the pump and the cam-gear driver which leads directly down to the crankcase...what's the deal to replace the oil seal/O-rings...to hopefully stop the "flow"....thanks...

    Irontite

    I've got a '57 Farmall 230 that had that slow antifreeze leak into the oil pan...I used Irontite about 3 months ago...still good to go...the stuff is great...just make sure your engine gets up to temp when you use it...Bobinva

    farmall 100 or 130

    Pretty easy,,,,look at the intake/exhaust manifold...the 100 had a manifold like a Super C, the 130 is different...like the 230 manifold. 130 manifold is "shorter" from the carb to the actual manifold than the 100. Bobinva
