    Pulling tire size

Well, I tried posting a message yesterday evidently didn't work. I have a 1950 John Deere G it has 13.6 x 38 tires (Firestone) on it now. I pull in the 6,000 & 7,ooo classes and do ok. The tractors (different brands) that do consistently better seem to always have bigger tires i.e. 15.5 x 38...

    Switching front pedestal

I have a junk JD G I want to take off the front pedestal it has the roller flex front and put it on my 1945 JD A. I have measured them up and they seem to be the same. Can these be swapped out and work? Thanks

    Rock Shaft

First, let me thank all of you for your replies. The rock shaft arms are original John Deere as stamped on them and it's obivious that they are antique. I've finally measued (as I should have done to begin with) and the shafts are and inch and three eighths as are the rock shaft holes. By eye...

    Rock Shaft

Evidently I haven't made myself too clear on what I'm trying to do, not unusual for me, don't get old! Anyway, simply put I just can't get the rock arms to fit on the rock shaft on my late styled John Deere A. The square holes are just way too small on the rock arms to fit on the rock shafts...

    Rock Shaft

The old saying, "size six hat to fit on a size ten head" not even close.

    Rock Shaft

I recently purchased the rock shift arms (P831 & P832) to put on the late styled power trol rock shaft arms to eventually put an 800 three point lift. I sized them up to the rock shaft, if there is a way to put them on it's beyond me. The shaft is quite a bit larger than the shaft holes...

    Roll-O-Matic (G)

I have a 1950 JD-G with Roll-O-Matic front end. I'm looking to change it to a straight front, where I live it's hard to come by JD parts. There is a JD-A with a straight front for sale, is it a possibility that will fit? Thanks

    Haverhill NH pull

It does sound confusing, but I agree there are some drawbars set up like yours. I don't see the problem with the way you have yours set up it's probably as strong and safe as any. North Haverhill has strange weight classes I just don't go anymore I have to bring an extra 1,000 pounds of...

    JD-G steering problem

Appreciate the reply. The whole assembly has to come off in order to get at the that washer and possibly the bearings? I've taken those apart before all the top tin work and the front pedestal have all got to come off? Thanks
