    My 1960 140 has been starting up just fine all winter so far until the other day. Usually I choke it, turn it over, cut the choke and it runs for 5 secs or so and stalls out.     New starter on 140 won't turn over.

    I just bench tested the new starter and nothing happened. I took the switch off and tried touching the positive to the contact on the new starter and nothing happened. I did the same test on the old starter and it worked. Bad starter I guess. It's brand new(or rebuilt) to.
