    auction results - 5 Fords

Fordfarmer: Thanks for the update. Thats incredible money for those rough tractors. I am especially surprised that the 671D with non working trans. and no PS brought that kind of money. What would a nice 661D with PS bring in a spring auction here in Wis? Makes you wonder. Thanks again...

I know this is a FORD TRACTOR FORUM but.....

Nice purchase. Thats the way to buy them. A dump truck equivalent to yours would be nearly $60k brand new. You're right, the tires are worth that. My local tire guy quoted me $320 for a 11r 22.5 recap. Brian

75 Ford 5000 Diesel w/original rubber and paint

How times have changed. In my area (NW WI), this was considered the "big" tractor on the farm back in the day. Today, most farm operators would consider this tractor a toy. However, it serves me just fine. Brian

75 Ford 5000 Diesel w/original rubber and paint

Thought I would share these photos of my 75 5000. I bought it about 7 years ago at an estate auction. One owner 2700 hrs. 18.4 x 30 and 7.50x18 original Firestones. It now has 3050 hrs. I use it to power a heavy duty 7 foot rotary mower and to pull a 3-14 mounted plow. I like the tractor a...

1974 ford 2000,what is the value??

Here in Wisc., a tractor like that around 3k to 3.5K. If it had LPTO and Power Steering then 4.5k. Make sure tires and rims are solid because that can cost a lot these days. Good Luck! Brian

    Identify this Plow Please

I brought this plow home today. Been sitting at least 35 years outdoors. Very weathered and missing parts. Is this the 2 way plow? No tag on it. Only numbers I found were on very bottom (see photos). Thanks in advance. Brian

    503 hay rake

Hey Ultradog, That was me with that low houred 3000D (1200 hrs) last month. That 157 hr 3000 looks a little more used to be original hours. Also, the ad states "like new Firestone tires". My former FORD dealer friend told me that the Ford 2000 and 3000's switched from Goodyear/Firestone to...

4600 rebuild (well, tear down at least)

Fordfarmer, wow, thats a lot of hours for the condition. What brand of oil did you and your Grandpa use it that tractor over the years??? Brian

FORD 3000 Diesel Purchase and Photos

I thought the mushroom type cap came out when the 2 piece plastic grill came out (1968-1975). The 600 series (2600, 3600, etc) still had the mushroom cap but was black in color to go with black mesh grill. Not positive though. Brian

FORD 3000 Diesel Purchase and Photos

Thanks guys for all the nice comments. I guess you could say Christmas came early for me this year. In case anyone is wondering, the tractor will be used during non-winter months only running a 7 foot finishing mower and a 6 foot rough cut mower (approx. 100 hrs per season). It will be...

FORD 3000 Diesel Purchase and Photos

Thanks guys for all your input. I really like this tractor so far. It runs so smooth and strong and seems tight all over. The tractor was always shedded when not in use and the original paint shows very well. Ultradog, this 8 speed does have LPTO which I am happy about. I included some...

    3000 - Straight 4 speed Update

Appreciated all the comments from my last post regarding the $2500 straight 4 spd. 3000 gas with PS and DL. No remotes and 75 % rubber. Decided NOT to buy it even though I was really serious about purchasing it last week. What changed my mind? Lack of LPTO , transmission gear ratios but...

Hey Fordfarmer, Noticed it there about 2 weeks ago for sale. Sign says $3,500. Its a 971 or 981 wide front. Brian

    Possible 3000 purchase

Thanks guys for your input about the straight 4 speed 3000 that I have been interested in buying. Ultradog, it is a gas model with DL, PS. It has 1800 hrs (supposedly actual) with 75% rubber. No remote valve. Regular wheels - NO power adjust. NO loader. Pretty darn straight except for a...

    3000 transmission question

Been dealing on a 3000 gas that has a straight 4 speed. No high/low stick. I have not seen the tractor in person just from photos. I always thought the 3000 transmissions options were: 1) SOS 2) 6 speed hi-lo 3) 8 speed hi-lo The owner verifies that it has one stick coming out of trans...
