1991 Case IH 1640 Hydrostat
I recently acquired a 1991 1640 with 2200 hours on it. I already realized that the 1600 series combines had trouble with the hydrostat splines. I want to take this hydrostat off and get it rebuilt, or rebuild it myself. I need the measurements for the backlash and endplay of the shaft. Does...- Bruce in Ont

7710 3 point hitch
Yes, that was me. I had all the linkages apart and readjusted them a bit, but I still haven't cured the problem. I haven't had time to adjust the fork inside the transmission yet. I have to go to Mexico and check out the sand and Tequila first. I have acquired shop manuals for these tractors...- Bruce in Ont

When I raise the 3 pt hitch, it wants to sag down and respond to the position the lever is in. The hydraulics, O rings and seals have all been replaced, but it didn't cure the problem.
