8N not getting gas due to sediment bowl / carb
Pouring fuel into a jar and checking for 1/4 spark is going from 0-60 in about 5 minutes. You can pull on the choke all you want but if don't have spark it wont do a lot good. Any way to seal a carb bowl with porosity?
My eyes aren't calibrated but the oil filter with the gas residue on it looks like a blueish color, gas could be dripping all the way down the bowl and taking a little bit of blue paint with it? That may rule out the bottom plugs. Fuel inlet or gasket on the side mounted bowl? I had a leaker... -

Ford 8N bendix recovery
With that attitude you're going to get a response to put on a new, aftermarket starter and driver it around and let the bendix break into sizeable chunks then fish out the pieces with a magnet- BryGuy

What's an 860 worth?
Chance to buy a 1956 860. Guys asking $1500 Tires are 13.6 x 28, not great but hold air Paint it completely baked off. Tin is pretty good. Fenders are nice. NOT RUNNING but not stuck Tractor is sitting about 2.5 hours away so a trip to check it over is tough. Is $1500 too much for these not... -

Adding to the other response...3/8-18 NPT. If you cant find one in your tool crib, the local big box (the H... Depot) should have one for cheap. We had a company in China making parts for us. The employees had to buy their own tooling so maybe you got one that was well used for your threads...- BryGuy

It's aluminum but it has a chunk missing out of the side where the rubber boot goes. It looks like a common thing? Its going to the big farm in the sky (scrap yard) this week. Sediment bowl won't align with gas line
Did some of gunk from the tank get into your threads by chance when you took the bowl off? If its the same bowl assembly it SHOULD go back the way it was. Make sure you use the flats with a wrench on the cast aluminum assembly and not try to strong arm it with your hand. You may have to tweak...- BryGuy

Pulled the plug on the hydraulics (needed the pipe, 2x12 and bottle jack trick). Nothing but water. Tires and hydraulic pump come off today. 2N barn find
Hooked up a 1 gallon gas tank from a snowblower and ran a line to the freshly rebuilt TSX 33. The battery cables are 2/0, crimped on both ends with shrink tube. Oil and coolant level was good. Already had the hood off when I remembered I needed photos. Pulled a new wiring harness and new plug wires. Old braided tip up line worked well.
