    1030 cummins conversion

Forgot to mention, obviously you would want a 70 series 451 and not the old powercell motor if you stuck with case motor.

    1030 cummins conversion

Like was said above giving up 100 cubes is not really a good idea, and I dont know that its easy to get a 5.9 up to 466. I know many people have decubed the 8.3 for 466 classes with good success. Dont know what class your running but the only problem with case motors is they lack in head flow...

    Bad blowby case 1175

Had a pulling engine that had bad blowby after being put back together after some burnt pistons. It just needed seated in good. After two runs down the track blowby was gone. How has it been ran in those 50 hours?

    10mm inj pump on a 1370

Got a 2590 pump(10mm) on a 1070. fuel maxed out and throttle stop backed. pulling for 2 years no problems. I cant see it being a problem when you look at the big pumps(13+mm) we are pulling with and injectors used with them. it all comes out about the same difference. I wouldnt be scared of it.

    70 series case puller

I cant make out the number but i can see it only has one hydraulic filter so I would say its an 8 speed. 70 series were available as 8 speed, it doesnt haveta have a 30 rear in it. Looks like a good running case, internet is to slow to play the whole clip but looks like he really put the hurting...

    870-1570 pistons

I forget off the top of my head but were not the 1570 all big wrist pin? You would need the small pin pistons from a non turbo 504 or early 1370. Have found the the turbo pistons generally have thicker rings. As far as compression we have measured turbo and non turbo pistons and some non turbo...

    3394 case IH Engine swap

Probably a little late but that is different from most 504s. Most only have the 2 upper holes on each side(4 total)

    1170 clutch slipping

If you are at 500 horse running more than stock rpm, you need seriously think about getting rid of the stock flywheel/clutch for the sake of your and others safety. Call Karl at Atlas Tractor(763-780-9548). He is making a flywheel that has the provision to keep the stock input shaft and pto...

    504 in 1175 clutch

Yes you can double the springs in a stock clutch. We had that setup in an 1175 with 504. It was putting an easy 450+ out. Held ok in 6th gear it was when tried 7th that it wouldnt hold. Side stepping the pedal helps it to lock up. Double disc is the way to go when get that much power running the...

    Exhaust temp

I would be careful how much I believed from that guy. The purpose of a pyro is to tell what the exhaust temp out of the cylinders is. Kinda defeats the purpose to move the probe to somewhere cooler. You can run 1250 degrees before the turbo all day long and be fine. The turbo cools things down...

    fuel tank removal 1175

There should be 2 straps over the tank that bolt down thru the platform.

    Koehler courage twin cam engine

Maybe screwed the cam lever up somehow and pushed it through the block. There is a lever that rides on the cam and the pushrod sits in that. Cant imagine you would have been able to get the valve adjusted if that the case though.

    Koehler courage twin cam engine

Never seen one do that. A lot of the ealiest ones of that motor had tons of camshaft problems though. Gear twisting on cam, stipping teeth, decompression lever breaking off, etc. Bent valves was also fairly common. Seemed like they got problems worked out though. They really are not that hard to...

Anyone know of this Ebay slide pullin pic,

You are right. The picture must be reversed. Steering with right hand, left on the throttle and the injection pump, filters and battery box are on the right.
