    Can take the pan from a DC and widen the bracket under the front of the pan. Have a older long nose 930 that has it done . The channel the seat fits on is wider on the old 930 than a DC.

    I'll have to look at one of mine and see if I can decipher your marks. Usually line up the pump marks and don't turn the engine till the pump is bolted back in place.

    Have you cleaned the crank pulley up so you can read the numbers?? If you can see the numbers align them with the pointer and see if the marks align with each other in the pump timing port ahead of the pump mount.

    Must have a narrow drill. 20' Great Plains here with a coulter cart.

    Another job...

    Found the problem. The u joint under the gear box that goes to the tie rod had 2 caps with no needles left in them. So replace both u joints and should be good for another 40 years.

    Pulled the cap off the front of the shaft and all seems intact. Pulled the pipe plug above the worm gear and it is solid to the shaft. Must be in the sector where the slop is at. Have to get the whole assembly out today.

    Steering is sloppy on the 1030. Been that way for about 5 years and decided to fix the u joint under the radiator. Heck of a job in its own but found the u joint only part of the problem. Shaft thru the steering box has 1/2 turn of play. Worm gear moves with the shaft, so must be something with...

    Bought a JI Case a few years ago in the same condition for $125. Made a new pole and pitman stick and got it working.

    630 day, whose got one?

    No pics either but have a 630 diesel caseomatic...use to live on the 24T JD square baler and 8 pack skid. Smoke trail from one end of the field to the other. Have had it since about 75 or so.
