Ford NAA Top Plate Sanity Check

After pulling everything apart and doing more research this morning, I am correct in my assumption that they should move independently. I am also correct in that they are well and truly bonded to each other. They are currently soaking in a bath of Evapo-Rust and ATF.

    Clutch still stuck.

I've had luck with the brake cleaner method but it also took working the clutch along with some gentle prying before it came loose.

Ford NAA Top Plate Sanity Check

Last fall I purchased an NAA that everything worked other than the 3 point hitch. The control lever was frozen. Now that I'm not using the tractor to plow snow I want to get the 3 point working. I was able to get the shaft that runs from the lever into the housing broke loose but still don't...

    Ford NAA Mystery Clip

I was leaning towards it going there but couldn’t see a reason why. Pictures worth a thousand words! Thank you both!

    Ford NAA Mystery Clip

Picked up an NAA a couple weeks ago and the lever for the 3 point was completely froze up. I pulled the top off and for the last 3 days with repetitions of PB Blaster and heat I got it broke loose. However as I was cleaning the bottom of the case out I bumped the return tube and it fell into the...

    Ford 640 Steering column oddity

I bought a Ford 640 last week as a project tractor. I know it has the wrong steering wheel on it but it also has this strange bracket on it. Anyone have any guesses? Is it possible the whole column was replaced or is this farmer tinkering?

    It's "done"!

After doing some more research I'm guessing the block was cast June 15/16 1947. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It's hard to tell whether its a 15 or a 16 from that screen shot.

    It's "done"!

I was able to do a screen capture on one of the videos I took. What does this tell us?? Also, thank you for all the kind comments!!!

    It's "done"!

Well now I'm not! LOL This is what I was going by. (Didn't realize there was a leading star when I was outlining it but if you look close you can see it.) Between that and the old style clutch linkage I figured it was pretty accurate. I'll look this weekend for the other tag. This post...

    It's "done"!

Yes, 48' Studebaker M16. At least the cab, hood and fenders! It sits on an RV frame with a 455 Olds wedged under the hood. What looks like it's sticking out of the grill was some weird kind of cap hanging from a wire, no idea what it was for.

    It's "done"!

After spending way, WAY, too much time and money, the tractor I bought for a "parts" tractor is finished. I picked this up 4 years ago for $275. Of course I had to see if it would run. I have never seen gas that has turned into tar before but I can't say that anymore, the carb was almost choked...

    TO-20 Carburetor Identification

I ended up getting a new carb for it and getting new linkage. It definitely ran better and I didn't have to play with the choke to keep it running but it was still running a bit rough so I checked the timing and it was way out of adjustment surprised it even ran at all! It runs like a top now...
