    So OM am I reading your reply right that you think I will be able to use a honda for a pony. I dont want to use an electric starter up there in place of the pony. I think the honda will physically fit but I am studying on how to get those gears together. Thanks

    OM, There was a fellow that put a 10hp tecumseh on a 720jd. I work with small honda engines everyday and have access to enough parts to build a good one for free. So with a free engine Im free to maybe be able to rig one on for a pony motor. It will be a 13hp. I may not be able to make it work...

    Does anyone have any pictures of a d4 pony tore down. I would like the ones of the back side of the engine showing the gears that mesh to start the big motor. Just trying to see what my options are. Thanks
