    YM1500D starter not always engaging

I never really figured out the problem with that starter. I ended up finding a rebuilt starter on eBay and putting it in, which solved the problem entirely.

    YM1500D clutch squeal?

That's exactly what I ended up doing, and it worked perfectly. The only reason I asked about it in the first post was because I didn't have it apart yet and the clutch replacement directions on the website mention a clutch tool. Thanks!

Implement / attachment suggestion for weeds?

My back yard is still unlandscaped. It's just about an acre of hard Arizona dirt. After our recent rains, there are small weeds popping up everywhere. Last time I used my box scraper to take care of it, but I'm looking for a way to get rid of the weeds and small stones and crap from the surface...

    YM1500D clutch squeal?

OK yeah I know I got no replies so I just jumped into the job awhile back. Replaced the rear main seal, the clutch, pressure plate, and the whole throwout bearing and carrier assembly. Also cleaned all the gunk out of those hard-to-reach places. The clutch looked pretty good, but I figured might...

    YM1500D clutch squeal?

OK finally got around to resolving myself to splitting the tractor to take care of this bearing issue. I think my tractor is a hodge-podge VN job because when I was working on the front 4WD assembly the internals were clearly from a red version. Looking at the parts in the clutch assembly...

Removing the loader on my 1500D

Yeah the rear-most mount is behind the split point so I think I have to remove it. It also prevents me from taking off the steel channel that goes around the front drive shaft. Any special considerations for disconnecting the hydraulic lines at the pump?

    YM1500D 4WD oil seal

Well I looked it over, ran it, etc before I paid for it when I picked it up. But there's really no way to have spotted the things I'm finding because it took me taking things apart pretty far to find them now. I doubt the previous owner even knew about it. He said the only problem it had was a...

Removing the loader on my 1500D

Well, after using the tractor for a few hours to help a buddy move some gravel, I'm having a whole host of problems. Both front axle seals are leaking (including one I just replaced), the steering box is leaking, the engine is leaking oil more than before it seems, and the throwout bearing is...

    YM1500D 4WD oil seal

No problems after the tumbleweeds, but I used the tractor for about 6 hours to help my friend move 35 tons of granite into his back yard last week. After that, the seal I just replaced is leaking horribly, the seal on the other side is leaking horribly, the steering box is leaking, the engine...

    YM1500D clutch squeal?

I just had something start happening similar to the recent YM155D clutch noise post except with a squealing sound rather than a clattering sound. I was helping a friend move granite yesterday with my 1500D and the tractor started to squeal whenever I pushed in the clutch. I was thinking a...

    YM1500D 4WD oil seal

Just for an update for anyone who might ever run into this same problem: I got a new stub axle (red) from Hoye along with the associated oil seal and collar. I put it all together today in place of the mystery axle and it seemed to go together just fine and so far no leaks. If it does end up...

    YM1500D 4WD oil seal

No I mean the stub axle from the red sounds compatible with the mystery axle I have by the dimensions you gave. So I should be able to get a red stub axle from you guys and just use the red seal, collar, and o-ring I already ordered from you guys, right? Did you have any luck searching the yard...

    YM1500D 4WD oil seal

Sounds like they would be compatible then. Let me know what you come up with. I want to get this sorted out ASAP and get the correct parts so I can get this thing back together and put it to work finally! Thanks again...

    post pics?

You have to host your photos on another website (I use photobucket) then in your message you paste in a hyperlink to the photo on the other website. The link needs to be inside the HTML indicating an image link. That's what the little button above the message box is that says "Img". Click that...

    YM1500D 4WD oil seal

Thanks Matt. Yes, it's a TC 42 62 7 And the measurements confirm it 42mm ID, 62mm OD, 7mm width. The stub axle shaft itself measures out at 30mm diameter. And it's right about 80mm from the inner face of the hub flange (where it's kind of worn shiny next to the collar in my photo) to the end of...
