    Is this a Ford 2000?

After blasting off enough oil and dirt and using the decoder information from Sean in PA it looks like a 340B with no PTO. I have a B rather than an F for the transmission but what I have is a torque converter with shuttle shift. Thanks for the help.

    Is this a Ford 2000?

I see this on the flat spot on the bell housing just behind the starter. No ID tag under the hood. There's a maintenance schedule sticker but no tractor identification information.

    Is this a Ford 2000?

Thanks guys. It will be out working tomorrow but I'll go looking for ID numbers and an ID plate after it comes back in.

    Is this a Ford 2000?

Can any of you experts tell me if this is a Ford 2000? I can't find an ID plate anywhere. Diesel engine.

    MF165 Coolant Leak / Overheating

Obviously the leak is job 1. Until you get the leak fixed you can't go much farther. After that I'd get one of those cheap IR temperature guns and run the tractor for a while with the radiator cap off. The water will be calm in the radiator while the thermostat is closed, but show a definite...

    30B overheating?

I have an early 70's 30B with the Continental gas engine. Lately my temperature gauge is shooting up to just below the red zone, which it didn't do in the past. I shot the hoses with a temperature gun. My top hose is 182 and my bottom hose is 160. Is this really overheating or do I maybe have...

    MF 135 pipe ripper layer

I've been through this as well. No, your hydraulics shouldn't be pushing the ripper down. The downward force should be determined entirely by the point on your ripper. The angle may look OK but it obviously isn't doing its job. Maybe the angle is wrong or maybe the point has been worn away...

    Z134 head gasket

Thanks Dan. I used a coffee can as a temporary gas tank last time, because the 30B gas tank sits on top of the engine. I only ran it a minute or two to prove it ran and adjust the timing. This time I'll strap the coffee can down and make the tractor do a little work, then check the torque on...

    Z134 head gasket

I did not re-torque the head bolts after running it up to temperature. By re-torque do you mean loosen them slightly and bring them all back to spec, or just check that they're all at 70 to 75 ft/lbs? The flatness was OK with a straightedge and a feeler gauge last year. I haven't checked this...

    Z134 head gasket

I rebuilt the Continental Z134 engine in my MF30B about a year ago, mostly because of the rings. It doesn't get a lot of hours of usage because I only use it as a front loader. After 20 to 30 engine hours of usage the head gasket blew out on cylinder 1 at the front right corner of the...

    Mf 150 fried ammeter wire

-30A continuously is definitely not normal. You should have a small positive number indicating the alternator is continuously charging the battery, even if the battery is fully charged. Even if your alternator is doing nothing I wouldn't expect the drain to be -30A unless you have all kinds...

    MF85 starter stays engaged?

If the starter stays engaged the engine isn't going to sound right. And it could be something as simple as your ignition switch is stuck in start and didn't automatically spring back to run. If the problem persists for more than a few minutes you will kill your starter motor.

    MF 30B Stabilizers

I know what a 30B is because I've got one. Stabilizer Assembly sounds like an expensive word for a pretty simple piece of metal. I'd get one fabricated or go after market.

    Replacement seat cushions

I've had horrible luck with cheap after market seat replacements on a 5300 and a Gator. The Arizona sun turns them into potato chips in a year. I only buy Deere seats now. They last for years. I also tried the seat cover once. They're good until it rains. They hold water like a towel.
