Is this a Ford 2000?

Can any of you experts tell me if this is a Ford 2000? I can't find an ID plate anywhere. Diesel engine.

Look under the hood for information stickers and if they are gone look on the flat on the bell housing right below the hyd pump.
Definitely an industrial model.

Seems like a industrial tractor with independent pto, it seems newer than 1968. There should be a stamp with numbers on the right side of the tractor, just under the fuel tank with a flat spot.

Guessing a 335. Its too new to be a 3500 or 4500. It has the torque converter shuttle transmission on it??. Its a post '75 tractor for sure. Get the numbers off the tag under the hood, or on the flat spot,just rear of the starter.

Not a 335. With the front axle, newer gauge cluster, and top mounted air cleaner I'm gonna say 340 with power reverser. Wish I had the Gannon single spool valve.

I see this on the flat spot on the bell housing just behind the starter.

No ID tag under the hood. There's a maintenance schedule sticker but no tractor identification information.

Tractor was built July 17 1986 on day shift
Serial number is for a tractor built in the US in 86
Serial number search shows the tractor to be a 340B utility

The actual model numbers is in that rough area behind the numbers you cleaned off, a little more cleaning behind the number you've found will expose them

Model code for a 340B should be CU41?F
CU4 = 340B utility
1 = diesel engine
? = pto type, 1 = no pto, 4 = independent 540 pto
F = 4x4 torque converter auto reversing trans

The serial number tells you nothing about which model it is, only which year it was made. C7636673 was a 1986 serial number.

The parts site doesn't show a PTO being available with the torque converter transmission on the 340B.

If you go to CNH parts look up web site you have the option of looking up parts by serial number
Punching in the serial number listed brought up a 340B model
Serial number look up doesnt work on the older thousand series but I think I was able to look up my 6600 and know it worked on my 6610

I didnt take time to look up the pto info

I did not know that. Thank you for that bit of information.

After blasting off enough oil and dirt and using the decoder information from Sean in PA it looks like a 340B with no PTO. I have a B rather than an F for the transmission but what I have is a torque converter with shuttle shift.

Thanks for the help.
