    Diesel 165 MF

    I have a 165 MF overseas tractor with Perkins 236 engine. It has a miss on no. 1 cyl, put in a new injector, same problem. When I crack the line on no. 1 it gets worse. It starts and runs fine, slobering some. Dont about compression but starter cranks evenly. I don't know what else to do.

    1080 massey wont start.

    I had this same problem with m MF 165. It wouldn't start after setting all winter. There was no fuel to the injectors. I took the pump apart and found the high pressure plungers were stuck,I freed them up and put it back together. It runs fine now.

    farmall super c hesitates, can't open throttle

    I had the same trouble on a Sc. I suspect timing. That was my trouble. I would set time and it would run a little and quit. I finally found the pin in the dist. drive was sheared. You could possibly have stuck advance weights or broken springs also.

    I have a 150 MF with the differential locked on. How can I get it unlocked? Can I get to it through the top?

    I have a 150 MF with the differential lock stuck on. What will I have to do to get it unstuck? The petal works but it wont do anything. I jacked one wheel and it will only turn about 8 inches each way with the gears in neutral.

    165 power steering

    shimmy is usually caused by an out of round tire. ie not out on the rim all around. raise one wheel at a time and rotate to see if it is the same all around.

    bend a screwdriver about an inch and quarter from the end and remove starter, reach in and flip the clutch disc three or four places. That should do it.

    You didn't say whether it is a ground drive or pto. If it is a small ground drive it should have 7.50 tires, they are almost impossible to find. However newer trucks and cars are equipped with 20 inch tires, they will fit but slightly lower profile
