    Davis 101A Removal

i have a davis 101a on a ferguson to-20. what i have thought about doing to remove it is to use my cherry picker to support it where the pins for the front arms are.. and then remove the front tires with a floor jack under it. lower the floor jack for the loader to clear the front axle and back...

    Fan shroud or not

lol wow i feel like i opened a huge can of worms... thank you all for your input! i think i am going to go shroud-less... as i can always add it in if i think i need it. perhaps i should be more focused on adding a temperature gage

    Fan shroud or not

ordered a new radiator, hoses, t-stat etc... opinions on if i really need a fan shroud? never had one and never had overheating problems

    crap...what to check?

the busted radiator in is is an aftermarket that doesn't fit well to start with.. so i have no desire to have it repaired or re-cored. what's everyone's opinions on t-stats? I see both a 160 and a 180 degree out there.

    crap...what to check?

it's the core that's leaking... and definitely a new one is cheaper. flea-bay has a radiator, pads, cap and hoses for $145 free shipping.

    crap...what to check?

long story short i let a friend borrow my 41' 9n and post hole digger to put some fence post in. I found out tonight that he popped the radiator while taking it 3 miles down the road to the carry-out for some beer lol. it drowned out the distributer so I'm confident he didn't run it without...

also check if the tires are loaded and/or if it has wheel weights. Equipment trailers can get expensive... I have a friend that has a small transport company, and he moves my tractors for me at a reasonable rate (charges me $1 per mile).

    got it all home

i thought so but wasn't sure. i have both a 9n and a to-20 so figured i couldn't go wrong with it either way :D here's a question i have though... my fergie has a davis loader and loaded tires as well as inner wheel weights. will the jack suffer a painful death if i try to use it? or are...

    got it all home

i gave a grand for the whole lot... including the trailer i drove it all home on. yes the red extension goes from 1 3/8" to 1 1/4" pto... but is it geared? wondering if its a gear reduction or something(has a grease zerk on it too)

I amgoing to put it on my to-20 that has a loader. Picking up the hoe Friday! He's throwing in a tractor jack, a pulley and a slip scoop (scoop is rough... I think he just wants it gone lol) going to load it all on the trailer he's got for sale and call it a grand... I never get good deals so...

Optional front tires for the 9n?

wow that's a bit much. In my thread about tires I complained about jack-knifing the wheels... I bet those can't physically turn far enough to do that lol
