Looks like a good find, what'd it set you back?

That red PTO extension was used to keep the U-joint on a driven implement inline with the pivot point of the arms..... I think. It might also convert the smaller spline to the standard larger spline shaft.

i gave a grand for the whole lot... including the trailer i drove it all home on. yes the red extension goes from 1 3/8" to 1 1/4" pto... but is it geared? wondering if its a gear reduction or something(has a grease zerk on it too)

WOW! good deal. I doubt it's geared, likely a converter - zerk is for bearings supporting the shaft.

I'll give you $1100 for the lot :)

The extension is not geared, it's an adapter to 1 3/8 and as others said to bring the pto inline especially when using the swinging drawbars that hung on the 3 point bars which moved the hitch point rearward a bit. These were usually used on the N's and the Jubilees.

i thought so but wasn't sure. i have both a 9n and a to-20 so figured i couldn't go wrong with it either way :D

here's a question i have though... my fergie has a davis loader and loaded tires as well as inner wheel weights. will the jack suffer a painful death if i try to use it? or are they strong enough to lift the extra couple thousand pounds
