    OT: South Carolina guys...advice needed.

Moving JD 550G dozer from West Virginia to Tenn., 545 miles. Hmh Logistics llc. Summerville SC made a low bid of $1400 with no down payment. Know if they're a dependable company? Seems awful cheap when the next low bid was $2000 from other companies. Lots of glowing reviews & a few really...

    Playing with my toy.

With the wet spring this field really struggled. Nearly drowned the wheat. So I tiling it. I'm really amazed at how much the ground had dried over just the last week. It went from moist to dry and hard. By the fence I had to give up it was digging so hard, it was mostly blue clay over there...

    Ford 861 Powermaster

The pto shaft on my 861 has some weird gouges in it about 6 inches in, the only thing that is remotely near it at this point is the ring gear which has no marks on it. Does anyone know what could have caused this?

PTO clutch doesn't totally disengage so the gears grind when I try putting pto in gear. I can put pto in gear before starting engine then hold clutch down while starting engine. Neither clutch slips under heavy load. I recall that two different adjustments are made on clutches on the bench...

    900 Series Electrical issue

I've got a 900 series with a serious electrical problem. I'm sure I have a ground somewhere, but I'm having trouble figuring out the wiring. My tractor has an ammeter. It does NOT have a Voltage Regulator, but does have a resistor block. I've tried to compare the wiring to the diagrams...

NC or Bust - Iowa - Part 1

Back to the trip...We were in a lot of snow at Albert Lea, MN, so headed south on I-35 to Des Moines, Iowa to try and drive out of it. Still day 1 and time for supper when we got there. We were now out of the crappy roads so felt we deserved a break for our efforts anyway. Stopped at a...

    Grounding outdoor outlets

I'm installing an outdoor light on the opposite side of the patio from my house. I'd like to put an outdoor outlet there, too. The power to the new location will be supplied through a 12/2 w/ground underground cable from an existing outdoor light nearer the house. If I had been paying more...

how to clean diesel fuel injectors?

Bought a New Holland 865 Skidsteer and want to go over it(fluids,filters,etc.). It is extremely difficult to try to crank when cold, so I want to see if anyone has any good ways of cleaning the injectors. Is there anything to pour into the fuel tank that really works or any other sure fire...
