    Ferguson TE20 exhaust gasket?

Yes, he's not destined to be a trailer queen/king. "Stanley", named after his original owner, is retired and instead of restoring I decided to keep him in the state I inherited him in. All the character, battle scars, etc. will remain. He blades a rock driveway, pulls wagons, and literally puts...

    Ferguson TE20 exhaust gasket?

Thank you, I'll pull it apart for inspection. Given that this an all original '48 machine, this has to be the original exhaust and is most likely compromised.

    Ferguson TE20 exhaust gasket?

I am noticing an exhaust leak at the joint between the exhaust manifold and the down tube for the exhaust pipe. Before I attempt to take this apart for inspection, Is there a gasket that mates these two together or is it just a compression fit?

    Different style brake adjusters

Okay, thank you. I didn't know if the more narrow footprint made a difference.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

This may answer a question I had yesterday. I used the tractor to blade my drive. I noticed the ammeter holding steady at about 15 amps and I was wondering if my battery was being overcharged. If it is measuring from the alternator and not to the battery, this makes sense.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

Yes, I have an ammeter that is functional. I don't need the idiot light to know my system is functional. I just wanted everything to work. I contemplated removing the light and replacing that spot in the dash with a toggle switch for hazard lights that I have not yet wired up.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

I do have a charge indicator light that is not wired up. Wires were cut off for some reason. I wanted to wire it back up for aesthetics plus the tractor came with it and I'd like it functioning. That is to be next on my repair list.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

Thanks so much. I am more concerned with causing addiitonal issues by not wiring it properly. This eases my mind.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

IGN wire goes to the coil and the ACC wire goes to the regulator to a pin that is right next to a wire that goes to BATT on that same the old switch.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

I've been away from the forum for a couple of days. I currently have an alternator that is wired through a regulator. Again, this is a farmized tractor but I want a full understanding of it's setup so I can fix it properly. Plus, understand if if I ever have issues. The pictures are not that great.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

I contemplated the ability of the new switch to handle all the connections. Your explanation makes sense. I wonder if I should wire in an inline fuse on one side to keep from frying anything?

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

You hit the nail on the head. This switch is "Farmized". The only reason I want a regular two position switch is because twice now I turned my key past "off" and drained my battery because it was in the Acc position.

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

This one is not set up that way. This has to be a vehicle key switch for an old farm truck. It is Acc., Off, Ign, Start. the start function is disabled

Ignition switch wiring for a TE20

I'm not the sharpest knife either. It is my conclusion that sometime in the past, the prior owner used whatever key switch was available at the time which is not what was originally used on the tractor. His wiring worked and just stuck with it. The tractor still utilizes the shift starter...
