    Questtion for the plow experts

Was at an auction today with Tgrasher and we noticed this plow with chains just ahead of the moldboards. The chains show lots of wear so it had been used this way but we couldn't figure out what the purpose of them would be. Has anyone done that before or know the purpose of them?

    White disk harrow

Saw a WFE disk sitting along the road the other day that caught my attention because it looked very much like the Oliver 252 disk that was on the farm I grew up on. The decal on this one was 256. Just wondering if there was a modification or if it s the same thing and they just renumbered it...

    Quick hitch for 3-pt

Have a 420W and a 520 with narrow front that I use with a couple of 3-pt hitch pieces, mostly a two row cultivator and a small back blade. They can be a bear for me to hook up by myself and would like to put a quick hitch on one of them to simplify the process, probably the 520. Do I need a...

    706 control valve tube

I think I have some ideas on what to do here but taking one chance someone might have a suggestion. My left valve here leaks out center hole and will be replacing o-rings. Hex nut comes out but pipe doesn't turn. Right pipe will come loose with nut. But that one doesn't leak. If I take that...

600 lift cylinder / cover vs NAA

Hey all, I ve been searching and I haven t been able to find an answer.. does anyone know if the lift cover used on the 600 is the same as the one used on the NAA? I know the 600 has internal hydraulic lines and I read one comment that said the NAA had the same lift cover as the 8N, so maybe...

    Never trust a spark plug

I spent two hours this morning chasing fuel starvation symptoms on a Honda pump motor. At one point I had the plug out and saw spark where I had it grounded to the motor instead of at the electrode. So put a new plug in and solved the issue. Engine ran great with the old plug for about two...

    Disc size

What would be a good size disc to pull behind an 860? Assuming a good running engine and proper tires. Currently using an old Ford 6 1/2 foot 3 point. Would like a wider, heavier pull type.

how to check for a short circuit in a motor?

I used my cheap voltmeter. I set it to ohms on the 2000 range. One probe on the black wire and the other probe on the white wire. It read 001. I then did the same check on my electric hand drill. It never moved from the 1. I am going to assume that the motor was shorted out. It was on a table...
