    farmall m hard start

Had a 1952 or was it a 1953 H like that. By serial number 300 from last H built. After a lot of WTFs I had an Electric shop in Racine Mn go through starter. Now it starts on first or second revolution. Starter was sucking too much juice leaving a poor spark.

    Farmall 450 priority valve

In the early 1970s dads 400started having hard or non-existent power steering. Good parts man said dead head remote and see if better. Dad just put on new flow control valve if memory serves. My Dad and brother did the repair while I was on National Guard duty. They succeeded as it worked after...

    Oliver transmission woes

Bought. Farm all Super MYA once. There was enough water in the rear end that it froze and locked bull gears. I removed rat drain plug and there was ice. Warmed up and out came few gaskins of water.

IMHO a good multi-weight even a synthetic 5-30. Just my thoughts not an engineer.

Farmall H Not Starting... Spark, Fuel, No Start

Had a 1952 H that turned into hard starter. New wiring harness and tune up items minimal change. Sold to neighbor. He took starter off and had it gone through by the shop in Racine MN. Now it starts first time over. Starter was drawing too much juice and spark was weak.

    4020 wheel weights

I have 4 sets of 8 1/2 inch weights on a 4440. Just got them little over a year ago.

    4020 wheel weights

Correct weight for 4020 is the Z-style weight with 8 1/2 inch opening. Think the larger 91/2 inch opening Z weight came out in late 30 series tractor and would fit over nine bolt dual hub. I have read that there are actually two slightly different 8 1/2 inch Z weights. They will all bolt up to...

    Seized (but not) Engine - 1956 100

If you ever have to split it put in new ring gear. They are pretty cheap. Also starter drive. While starter is off go through it and clean up. Good for another 50 years.

    110 /115 disk ?

Brain just kicked into gear after coffee. Think I had a 230 disk. IIRC model 235 had bigger bearing hanger bolts. All other comments still apply.

    110 /115 disk ?

Had a 210 20 ft disk. Spring loaded scrapers worked great until the spring would break. Carried extra springs, hammer, leather gloves punch and roll pins or cotter pins to change spring. But my biggest dislike was the 5/8 inch grade 5 bolts that fastened the bearing standard to rectangular...

    720 rear wheel clamp

Make sure the jack screws that push on wedge sleeves to loosen are screwed out enough they are nut hitting sleeve when you try and tighten.

    720 rear wheel clamp

I am pretty sure that is a 3 1/8 inch axle. Pretty sure that the sleeves from a New Generation tractor with 3 1/8 inch axle have a different taper and will not work in a two cylinder wheel casting. Others will know for sure.
