    How can I adjust the brakes on a 340. It"s really hard to get this tractor to stop. thanks!!

    Ih 5088 vs Case 2290

    I would be a little cautious on the international. How many hours are on it? Those tractors had some transmissions issues because of the electrical switches they use. when they go out it can get expensive. The 2290 should do everything that you want it to. good luck!!

    706 gear shift linkage

    It's not all that difficult, you shoud just need the linkage and/or the shifter.....they do sell upgrade kits that run about $500...a little pricy but it'll save you a lot of time and cussing. I have a 706 that has some terrible shifting too. Takes me multiple tries just to get it in one gear...

    1953 SH Will not start or turn over

    Hit the starter with a hammer, it might be hung up on the flywheel.

    JD3020 shuts down

    Look to see if the float is bent or tweaked in anyway. If it is, it will prevent it from moving. Be very gentle when or if you adjust it.

    8420 or 8430

    Well as a John Deere mechanic I'm gonna say go with the 8430. It'll probably cost you a little more but the resale value will be higher. They're both great tractors but you'll be happier with the 8430. Good luck, Cory

    Farmall H distributer Cap

    I have a 1950 Farmall H with delco vertical distributer. I have looked everywhere for a replacement cap but I cannot find one. Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks!
