Massey Ferguson 165 MultiPower with no pulling power in any gear

I have a MF165 multipower that we have had issues with for a little over a year. Initially the tractor could t pull itself up small hills in high gear. Not that the engine pulled down, but rather it acted like it was slipping. Over the winter it got much worse. Even to the point where in the...

Massey 165 Diesel chatters significantly when put in High range

We just replaced the hydraulic pump on 1964 MF with Perkins’s 204 diesel. Hydraulics work better than they had in years. When driving the tractor in low range it will hatter a little but as the clutch is released. When using high range, the tractor will chatter a lot and, in some cases, cannot...

    Very slow hydraulics

We have finally gotten the filter replaced. It was pretty nasty. Now we have gone from almost 3 minutes for the loader to raise full height to just over 2 minutes. I still have to think that we are missing something here. We were gonna do a pressure check but, after getting a hydraulic oil...

    Very slow hydraulics

We finally got the new filters installed and we still have very slow hydraulics. We were going to run a pressure check but got drenched in oil then found that the pressure gauge and the port are two different sizes. Will run into town and hope someone has a bushing. Meanwhile. Any other...

    Very slow hydraulics

We did have that dash pot rod bend and when we tried to straighten it broke. We had to get a new dashpot. The three point seems to be working ok. Another thing we have found is the bleed off is extremely high. So much so that if you try to pick up some over 300 pounds it wont even move...

    Very slow hydraulics

We had to split the machine at the transmission because of a pretty major leak. We did do a service on it when it was a part. All new oil as well. I just loaded the hoses at the auxiliary switch and it seems to have good flow (although I am not sure what that flow should look like)...

    Very slow hydraulics

We have a Massey 165 with multi power. We have had several items causing a issues and thought we had it going but now the hydraulics take forever to respond. 2 minutes 42 seconds to lift loader to full height. There is not enough flow for the forks to even lift parts of a hay bale. I have the...

    MF 165 hydraulics not functioning

Ill back. Now that the three point is functioning and we finally got the tractor back home, we went to hook the loader back up on it and we cant get those hydraulics to work. We have the inner quadrant lever set to constant pumping and the outer lever to up. The right side aux pump lever is...

    MF 165 hydraulics not functioning

I want to thank you all for your help on this. We did find that the stand pipe was off of the lower port hole. Once that was pulled down, the three point started working. Again. So appreciative of all your help on this. We thought we verified everything.

    MF 165 hydraulics not functioning

We verified that the tube was in the port. We also verified (before this last attempt) that it had a pretty good seal, at least as far as we could tell.

    MF 165 hydraulics not functioning

Good evening. I am looking for some assistance. After reading through several posts on here, I am still stumped on a resolution. My folks tractor was severely leaking oil between the rear axle and the transmission. While attempting to fix that, we split the tractor (and inadvertently broke...
