One of the guys in the tractor club said that he plans to do a few repairs in his home shop for some of his long time customers.

With the size of the lots I would have to buy so much to get what I wanted that I probably won't buy much.....I guess I'll go to the inspection and look it over......I did manage to buy a few toys in their toy auction a week ago.

percent of posters actually are farming

Farmed my whole life, my brother and I milked a herd of registered Jerseys for nearly 50 years. Now we just do 600 acres of corn and soybeans, and play around with old tractors in my spare time. I'm 79 and hope to continue for a few more years.

    Caterpillar guy past away

His name is Mark Roszman, I haven't seen an obituary yet.....there was a posting on the bridge crossing Facebook page that said an obituary would be coming soon and that there would be a memorial gathering on Oct 25 from 12 until 5 at Looking Glass River Sportsman Club 8855 Woodbury Road...

Sorry to hear this, He will surely be missed. When I heard about the location of the accident I was afraid it was him.

Literature---Allis Chalmers Forage Harvester Late 40's-Early 50's? Brochure

We must have had a pretty good Allis Chalmers dealer in our area because there where quite a few of those choppers and blowers around. The farm I helped on had an Allis Chalmers engine mounted on the blower so there wasn't a need for a blower tractor.

Did it again. Disaster averted though

Glad it seems to be ok....I always liked running our 105, sometimes I wished we hadn't got rid of it but it had almost 10,000 hrs on it and we thought it was time to replace it........I don't know if Friday the 13th was unlucky or lucky for you....LOL

    Rear hub swap

My curiosity got the best of me and I had to take a look at mine....I didn't have a choice the way they are mounted there is no room to get the bolts out from the inside, so I had to take the hub and the inner wheel off together. So I guess I'm still not much help to you.

    Rear hub swap

I had to change one of those hubs on the 4-175 but I'm not going to be much help because I can't remember how I did it. I'm going to guess I did it the hard way which ever that is.....lol

Sorry to hear he has passed away. Always looked forward to seeing his display at the toy shows. I guess the last time I saw him was at the National Oliver Show in Oakley.
