    Electronic ignition

I've changed several over, and no the resistor is not needed. Just be sure to get the correct voltage and polarity electronic ignition.

    GPS Speedometer

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I have the app on my phone, but wanted something permanent to mount on the machines so it would be available for the help to use.

    GPS Speedometer

We have several harvesters of all different types that I would really like to have a way to have a speedometer on them to help maintain a constant speed with. All of these machines are hydrostatic which is nice but makes it hard to duplicate a good consistent operating ground speed. I have...

    JD LA 110 oil filter

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I know this mower won't see severe extensive use, so was kinda looking for an easy way to get by with it till it was time to do an engine swap in it. Son hasn't long turned 15, but loves taking something like this and wrenching on it to make a nice useable machine...

    JD LA 110 oil filter

Had a family member give my oldest son his riding mower. It's a JD LA 110 model with the 19.5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine in it. This person was trying to change the oil and oil filer on it, but could not get the filter to screw off so it got cut off with a saw. Being he has severe visual...

    garden hose

Lately I've been buying the black hose like you would put on a sprayer. Been able to get whatever length and diameter I needed from my farm parts supplier and put the ends on it. Holds up way better and dosent kink like store bought hose does.

    CNH 2206 cornhead

According to the serial number, this one is best we can tell an '08 year model. It hadn't picked 1500 acres worth since new best we can figure, and it shows it. The grease in the gearboxes was an improvement for us. With all of the morningglories we have it kept the seals constantly cut out on...

What brand of new rear tractor tires are 2nd best?

Firestones are a good tire about not cracking, but they are expensive and the tread wears off fast. If we need a good 2nd place tire here, we've been using BKT for years with excellent results. They wear longer than any other brands we've tried. Samson, Galaxy, and American Farmer would...

    Sprayer Booms

The local equipment mfg here takes a 2x at least a 12 inch hydraulic cylinder and attaches it first to the back board corner on each side then have it where the chain or cable that runs out to hold the boom up attaches to rod end of the cylinders. You need a hydraulic circuit for each cylinder...

    CNH 2206 cornhead

Thank you for the reply. We have only run this head for 1 season. I have some friends that bought this head very slightly used and they ran it for 3 yrs and upgraded to an 2208. We purchased it from them, but don't know any history on it before they got it other than it came from out of state...

    CNH 2206 cornhead

We have a 2206 cornhead that last year about midway through picking, the long bolt that runs in the end of the spiral broke allowing the spiral and stalk roll to fall off. I got all of this fixed, but the timing on that particular roll is somehow off a tad to where the bolts that hold the knives...

    Pleasant surprise

The seasons are later and shorter seeming to me now than what I remember them used to being. It's gotten to be late here in Lenoir Co to start getting a beneficial rain early in the crop season....then it starts and tries to drown it.

    cub scouting today

Larry that picture of that 424 brings back memories. Dad used to farm together with a neighbor that had one. They used it to pull the their harvester barning tobacco. I wasn't much if anymore than ten, but I was the relief driver for dad's crew and neighbor. I pure dreaded for anyone to holler...

    Pleasant surprise

With all the rain we have been receiving, it didn't look like we were going to be able to keep up fast enough the way the crop is shaping up about coming off. We haven't used any of the automatic primers in at least 4 years to defoliate any. I had this one under the shelter, but it hadn't been...

IH 2388 or 2588 Water pumps

They're a smooth belt pulley with 3 bolts and a o-ring to install. Not a bad job at all to replace. At least this was the case on our 2344. There was a core charge on them at the CNH dealer tho.
