    Appreciate all the comments and what you all say makes sense. I have studied this and done everything I know to do. Problem is the lines are crossed. They are both metal lines virtually sise by side and ALMOST identical. They will connect easily and tighten right up and not leak. But...

    You could but it have to be intentional, so actually no. I only unhooked 3 of the lines. One was totally different (cooler), but the other two are sise by side and look to be identical. But either I am doing something really wrong and dont know it, or the lines are not exactly the same size...

    Yep, that was my first thought, not a big deal I thought. So I went to reverse them and they wont fit. But I will figure something out. Thanks, appreciate your input, and I would like to think you are correct.

    Thanks for your comment. My lines are metal and the connections are just enough difference in size that it would be almost impossible to get them reversed. I am totally confused as to what can possibly be causing this. I have done these clutches before and never had this happen.

    Just put a clutch in a 464, with no issues, pretty straightforward project. Stuck it all back together and everything is fine...except...the steering is backwards. There are 4 hydraulic lines that run to the front end. Two of them are to the cooler. Two others are for steering and they are...

    Int 464 head scratcher of a fuel problem

    Your points are valid and quite frankly I am still trying to sort some of those things out. I have amost decided the fuel pump is the problem but I have never known a disphran pump to partially work, they either pump or they dont. Thanks for your help. I will look at it all.
