    Holt Combined Harvesters

Tractor Friends, I have found two Holt Combined Harvesters that have been well used and they are for sale. The owner will not sell to a scrapper but to someone who needs parts or all of it. Are there any persons interested in these? My number is 806-274-1096. ---Derrol in Texas---

    Do you recognize this part?

If it fits anywhere there it would probably be on the clutch yoke shaft which should be about a 1- inch shaft. Or it may be a throw out part. That's a part that was accidently left in the machine that needs to be thrown out.---Derrol in Texas---

My Case Made A National Calendar

Tony, That is a great photo and you have a great looking LA there. I have always admired the terrific restore that you did on it. Those LAs are special tractors with a special look and feel. Congrats on making the calendar.---Derrol in Texas---

    1939 Oliver 99

Yes, this is a four banger in a big block and after looking close at a drawing in the Operator Manual, I see what looks like to be wet sleeves. The pistons are 4.748" in diameter and 5.5" tall. I think this engine has about the same displacement as my Propane Case LAs at 443 cui. Any comment on...

    1939 Oliver 99

Then someone must have done an excellent job of boring and counterboring this block because it looks professionally done. These are flange-top sleeves set very flush with the block surface. The headgasket seals on them and the surrounding surface very well. The sleeves extend below the block...

    1939 Oliver 99

Ok, Can anyone out there tell me if the sleeves in a 1939 Oliver 99 are wet sleeves or dry sleeves? From the bottom they look dry, but I'm not sure.---Derrol in Texas---

    Its KING Pins

Sorry for such a late reply, I have been really busy and away from the site for two months. I have not had to replace those seals on my tractors yet, so I don"t have a part number.

    Its KING Pins

StuckRusty, Looks like that LA has found a really good home. I have two that I have fixed up. Fresh painted they are really beautiful tractors. Be sure to put a new brake lining on. If you have questions I have a lot of answers about restoring the LA. Love those LAs. Great tractors.---Derrol in...

    1949 Case LA polarity voltage

Paul, I just put 12 volt batteries on my LAs and they are Negative Ground. Put a 12 volt generator and lights on and you are ready to go.---Derrol in Texas---(Case LA Propane)

That 1930 Case L - still not running

Steve, I had a similar experience with a Case LA. I had to adjust the coupler between the magneto drive shaft and the magneto. Then I found that there are two keyways on that shaft for the woodruff key. Was I 180 degees off with my coupler? Don't know but I kept adjusting the coupler until it...

    DC pulley brake material

ckain, I am not sure about the DC but the Case LA uses the same material that is used on Oliver 60 brake linings. I have both kinds of tractors so I see that it is the same. Call Korves Oliver at 618-939-6681 and speak to Mark about the Oliver 60 brake lining material. I usually double the...

Help me save these - PLEASE!

Gentlemen, The scrappers have gone crazy here at Amarillo and the surrounding towns. Tractors that have set around for years have all-of-a-sudden disappeared. So you had better get moving for what you cherish because they will be gone in a heartbeat. Buy them, store them, and rebuild them later...

    LA Parts

Eric, For bearings and races check all the local places around you for prices. Write the prices down. Then call a place in California called "Locate Ball Bearing" at 800-409-3632. They have always had the most reasonable prices for me. Usually saves me a lot of money that I can use on other...

    Need a Case 4-Bottom?

Was driving along Highway 54 in Kansas last Saturday when I spied about 1 acre of machinery on a corner one mile East of Pratt, Kansas. There was a lot of snow there, but the best I could tell there are two 4-bottom Case moldboards. One is a semi- mount with a rear wheel and the other is a...
