DC pulley brake material

Hi, Anyone know of a source for the pully/trans brake pad, as used on a DC ?

ckain, I am not sure about the DC but the Case LA uses the same material that is used on Oliver 60 brake linings. I have both kinds of tractors so I see that it is the same. Call Korves Oliver at 618-939-6681 and speak to Mark about the Oliver 60 brake lining material. I usually double the amount that I need so that i will have extra on hand. Ask for the rivets to go with it also. ---Derrol in Texas---

I got a couple from Don L. a month ago, nicely made with rivets for my C and 1940 DC.

When did the DC have a pulley brake? My DC4 is a 52 model and I am sure it has no pulley brake.
My JD AR has a pulley brake and I re-lined that with some used rubber belting from an old flat belt. Seemed to work ok.

Is your 52 a foot clutch model? Every hand clutch DC I've ever seen has a pulley brake on it, but unlike a Deere they dont run on the belt pulley itself they run on the flange that the pulley bolts to.

My DC has a foot clutch, And you are right on, with where it is located.. Need it to stop the tranny, for shifting.

No , my DC4 is a hand clutch, both brake pedals on the right side. Now I will have to go out to the shed to see if I can find any sign of a pulley brake.

Well sure enough, my DC4 has a pulley brake. Maybe I knew this 40 years ago when I was using it more and have since forgotten. But having inspected it today I find the brake and lining in good operating condition. Not likely to wear it out at this point.
