    mkirsch, I've been getting off and on any which way I am able to do so, however I don't have a drawbar for this tractor, therefore it makes it more difficult..trying to find a drawbar for it.....also I'm not as flexible as I used to be LOL..thanks for ur suggestion.

    These are double acting cylinders, did retract them several times, but the dipstick to measure the capacity is missing...so I was trying to use a plastic stick to measure...but not sure of the capacity now that I have retracted the cylinders several times...Is there any other way to measure the...

    Hydraulic capacity

    Installed two new hydraulic cylinders on 1949 Farmall "M', I believe that the capacity for the belly pump is 6 quarts, drained all the old oil out. Would I be safe adding 7 quarts since I have installed new cylinders...what happens if it is too much oil?
