    Sounds like the inlet to the sediment bowl is partially restricted. Might be some scale, rust or some other debris in either the shutoff valve or the inlet itself. It might not show up if sitting still and a seemingly normal flow is there, but under higher demand it starves out. Sometimes...

    806 won't turn left, UPDATE, It does now.

    Took another look at it figuring a bolster replacement. Two of the bolts that attach the drag links to the steering gear had backed out. The center one was catching on the axle mount. Had to drop the axle to get the bolts back in and torqued. But everything works. Thanks again.

    I started my 806D yesterday, Moved it around a little bit. The steering seemed to take just a little longer to start working than typical but I chalked that up to having sat for several months. Started it up this morning, Attempted to the wheels to the left and it feels like it is trying but...

    You might check with the previous owner for the PTO guards. They'd be U-shaped sheet metal. A lot of folks usually didn't bother with the guards, They might be off in a corner somewhere.

    What Tractor,that you don't own, would you want to run

    My first thought is an IH W-6 or W-9. Standard treads are virtually non-existant in my part of the world. I'd like to try it just to compare to an M.

    Yes, They were availible with gear or hydrostatic transmissions. Very popular for loader tractors.

    That is a "C" an early one by the s/n. I've seen several tractors with the incorrect model decals over the years. Overall looks like a decent machine.
