8 Volt Battery in My 8N

Why an 8V battery? If it turns over slowly just fix your problem. Maybe new cables or an extra ground cable and you'll probably be good to go. Dave

    Milwaukee cordless grease gun.

Ok fawteen, I looked it over more closely now and I see the nozzle is two pieces. I loosened the two halfs and now it works ok. Those two halfs are loose, like not even finger tight. Can I use it that way? I did take it completely apart and their is a small spring in there. I never knew that or...

You can't see the picture very well but the hose is completely off and the nozzle still won't budge. Dave

Well fawteen, is this loose enough? The nozzle still won't come off. Dave

    Farmall super A starting problem

Check that there is a bumper spring inside the tube at the bottom where the acorn nut is. Usually those are broken and you don't notice it. Also be sure the spring loaded tip of the governor moves in and out freely. Dave

    Milwaukee cordless grease gun.

I can bend, twist, yank real hard then finally have to pry it off with a screw driver. I tried pushing the purge valve which also didn't help. Very disappointing for $380 grease gun. Dave

    Milwaukee cordless grease gun.

I just bought a new Milwaukee 2646 battery grease gun. It works great but I can't get the nozzle off after greasing the fitting. Anyone else have this problem? I can't get it off even if I don't put any grease in. Dave

My 1940’s Farmall Super A runs great until I engage the PTO drive. I only get 15 minutes of mowing until the tractor wants to stall out.

With a load on the engine, like a mower, your using more gas. I suspect you have a fuel restriction somewhere. Carefully, with non metal tools, look in the bottom of the gas tank for flakes of rust. Remove and clean the sediment bowl under the gas tank including the fine screen at the top, then...

    Farmall super A starting problem

As to the spark plug wires, I was thinking about the difference of solid wire versus carbon type cores.. Dave

    Farmall super A starting problem

Did you put new spark plug wires on when you upgraded to 12 volts? Never thought about this before but not sure wires are compatible from 6 volt to 12 volt. I would think they should be ok but you do have a weird problem so I'm grasping at straws. Also, you did make sure you were timing it with...

    Help with mower deck

If your engine is not running good it can mimic a bad mower. I would try loading the engine some other way than the PTO. Maybe start off in high gear or going up a steep hill. My Gravely tractor had a similar problem last spring. Turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. It ran good when not under...
