Early 4000 4cyl power steering
Guys, I have power steering fluid coming out of the top of the steering box on my 4000. I'm sure the seal is done for, but before I take it apart what suggestions for replacement or refreshing of other parts should I think about -

601 clutch adjustment
I"m with Dollar Bill. Sherman is a direct replacement fit and you should be able to adjust the linkage no problem to work. Unles.....you did what I did one time and put the disk in backwards. Parts prices
Is it me???? Or has anyone else noticed the parts prices for our beloved old Fords is soaring to ridiculous levels? I see used parts that are readily available after market going for more then new, and some items new and used that have just gotten outrageous. Just my rant for today. -

Hydraulic pump issue
If anyone can help identify this pump and if anyone has a blowup of it for disassembly I would greatly appreciate it. I think it broke the key way loader won't lift at all and I hear a metalic sound in front when the tractor is running. -

Ford 860 steering
They are readily available new, why put worn used parts? I have replaced the tie rods on a couple of my tractors. -

860 Power Steering pump problems
Any power steering pump can get air bound, you should however hear a buzzing sound while the pump is turning which indicates air in the system. -

Sounds like a rod bearing is worn and is dry on start up. -
