    I also have a nonlpto 400. The pto looks like an M pto.Has the little pull rod on the left rear. Dont know if the internals are the same as M.Never had that one apart.     red brass vs yellow brass.

    I usually use uncoated yellow brass for brazeing. I have several sticks of(what I think is)red brass rod. Is it the same? Same strength? It seems softer. Do I use just like the yellow brass?I may just go and practice a bit and find out.

    'Farmall' WD9?

    Anybody know if aWD9 engine would bolt up to an M bell houseing? Would the front bolster bolt up? I really doubt it,but had to ask. If so,another frankentractor might be comeing in the future. ;)

    single front wheel Farmall questions

    M is bigger/heavier in all ways than an H/300/350. So you need the complete assembly. However IH used the same bolt pattern from M to 1256. Single/tricycle/wide are all interchangeable on those tractors.

    Dont know about your rancher. But I have pulled my old ATC 200(3 wheeler) hundreds of miles over the last 30 years with no ill effects.

    That LPTO unit was used from the SMTA,up to the early 560. my 350 pto is the same as both my SMTA and 450. Except fpr a spacer ring used to make up for the smaller tractor.

    450 Diesel carb

    My 450D ewas doing that.Severly flooding. Black smoke,barely run enough to get the diesel started. There was 'crap' in the needle/seat,not closeing. Simply cleaned out the crap and it starts/runs as should.

    Any battery 500 to 700 amps that fits in the battery box.

    Most likely they were 18" when new. Now worn to 16(or less). Only way to know is to grab a tape and measure.
