Hydraulics on a 6600
Thanks for the replies , it does connect to the same body and looks like the pin broke off where the handle connected and another screw was installed where the ball for the lever should go. I am going to remove the plate to install a new "plunger" and remove the bolt for a new ball, then new... -

Hydraulics on a 6600
Hi All, I have 4 lines out back. Facing the tractor from the rear, the left 2 are operated with the lever under the seat that you move forward and back with your right hand. I have a FEL that plugs into them and have to tie the lever to the rear with wire in order for me to use the 2 levers... -

Ford 3000 is a little weird during startup.
Check to see that the carb is nice and tight. The puff of smoke and backfiring could be a result of a leak between the carb and manifold. -

sotxbill, thanks. I scraped until bare metal and got EY254C. I guess that makes it an orchard version 6600 diesel independent 540 8 speed. Thanks for all the help. -

Thanks for all the info. Based on most of the criteria, I am sure it is a 6600. It has the rpm/hour drive behind the oil filter, hyd filter behind the right foot, oil filler behind the radiator on the right side, dip stick on the left. I just wanted to make sure that all the parts ordered were... -

I think the production code is 9A15B 1979 Jan 15th day shift Model number has me stumped a bit. LY254C the 4 could be independent PTO and C 8 speed. I have no idea what LY25 represent. It is diesel. -

Thanks for the info. I went out and scraped the ares and found these: 9A15B or 9A156 C5930G4 or C593004 LY254C or LY2546 It is real hard to tell. As per the above description, it must definitely be a 6600. I have the spin on Hyd. filter at the rear, dip stick on the left if sitting on... -
