    Thanks guys. Actually I am thinking about keeping the 7140 and adding the 255. However I want to be sure the 255 will readily pull the same equipment at the same speed.

    Thinking of trading tractors. Will the CIH MX255 pull equal to a good old Magnum 7140? In tractor data the MX has far greater PTO hp but nearly eaqual drawbar hp. What are your thoughts?

    17.5ft 820 head

    I have a nice one for sale that has always been sheded. I recently bought a 2144 to replace my 1460 and a wider 1020 header to go with it. 820 has plastic wear plates installed on bottom and a complete SI knife system about 5 yrs. ago. I am in NW Ohio.

    Pedal tractor value

    I am wanting to buy an old pedal tractor from a friend and we need to decide a value. It is an original H or M style with the open grill, muffler and air cleaner intact. It's scratched and faded but otherwise a good survivor. I will try to onclude a picture here. Thanks for your input.

    Yes the inline filter has been changed regularly. I am debating what I could use as a hand pump to help determine the suction required to lift the fuel to the transfer pump. Do you know if anyone sells a rebuild kit for these transfer pumps? Thanksj

    I am assuming it has run correctly for you in the past. But With the limited info it sounds like it is not completely switching over to diesel which sets up the higher compression in the head.     Thanks dieseltech the old spring was definitely the issue. I have 1750 high idle speed I should have now. Unfortunately I only have about 42 hp. So I am going to change the fuel filter. Unless you have another thought. It runs very well otherwise.
