    Farmall 560 shift question

    I see a 560 advertised as running/operating but the tractor can only shift into 3rd and 4th gear (and neutral). What would be the repair process for this?

    460 / 560 overall differences ?

    The 460 and 560 share engines from the same "family" - the 460 having a 221 cubic inch and the 560 having 263. Supposedly my 460 has a 263 from a 656. If I ever got energetic enough to check, I could verify by measuring the stroke.

    1995 Jeep has the pre OBD2 computer system. Using generic cats is a little more difficult on OBD2 systems and the last thing I want to do is install the cheaper cats then find out I still have CEL and limp mode.

    What is the biggest issue with this tractor? Does it have the same problem with popping out of gear the smaller Allis tractors have? I do not know if this is a 190 or a 190XT.     Forcing Grease Into Old Machines

    Heat would probably work best - get it hot and force it in. If that doesn't work - removed the zerk and try spray brake cleaner in the hole - MIGHT eat away at the old dry grease and give the new grease a chance to work its way in.

    IH hub wrench - sizes for 460?

    Just need to slide the wheels out - If I were going to remove the wheels I would drop the weights to keep from getting killed. It has 2 weights on the inside and two more on the outside. My 3/4" drive socket and ratchet are too big for the room allowed by the weights.
