    M fan oil leak

I filled the fan shaft oil on my 1949 M. Ran it for a little while and now the generator bracket has oil on it. Looking at the parts I see a gasket L4367T. Would replacing this gasket solve the oil leak. The tractor only runs about 15 hours a year. thanks.

    D14 polarize generator

Hi, I obtained a D14 late last fall that had not run in several years, noticed that the previous owner had the 6V battery hooked up to negative ground. I eventually got it to start but it showed negative charge on the ammeter. I switched it to positive ground, now it shows nothing on the...

    Frozen loader valve

Thanks for all your help, I will try a heat lamp, and in warmer weather see if I can take the caps off and look for moisture.

    Frozen loader valve

It is a northern hydraulic valve mounted on a Massey Ferguson 1240 tractor. It has been below 10 the last few days. I am going to try it again in the next day or so. So is a propane torch OK to use to free it up?

    Frozen loader valve

HI, it is not cable controlled, I did not want the torch to hurt any seals or anything internal to the loader valve.

    Frozen loader valve

Hi, the loader joystick on my tractor will not work in some positions when it is below freezing. In the past it has freed up as it runs, but lately it has not. I have been using a propane torch to heat it up. Is this bad for it? would a hair dryer work? I was thinking of sticking an oil...

    D14 oil leak

thanks I will look into it. Second question, the tractor came with a New Idea loader that probably has the original fluid in it. What should I replace the fluid with? Universal hydraulic fluid? thanks.

I did not notice one, I will check for that. Where would I get one if I do not have one? thanks.

    D14 oil leak

Hi, I just got a D14 that has been sitting for a few years, I drained the oil (very little came out) replaced the oil and filter and put the drain plug back in. I leaks oil out of the drain plug, is there a seal that goes on the plug? Thoughts on getting it to seal better? thanks.

    850 overheating

Hi, bought a 1955 Ford 850 at an estate sale. After some tinkering got it to run great. After 15 min or so coolant pours out of the overflow tube just under the radiator cap. Water pump does not leak and does not feel loose. I put a thermometer in the radiator (gauge does not work, it is...
