ok i know yall gonna think im stupid but how can i tell the difference between a mag and a distributor? what i got has a voltage reg up by the steering wheel and does not have a exterior coil but appears to have a interior coil. what is stamped on the side is -type fm x4b3 with these below...- dirtyred

i will try what yall said and post back . dont have a key switch and been cranking by hand does the battery need to be hooked up to make it run. I thought all the battery did was crank it.- dirtyred

starter tractor
ethan just keep looking!I found a runing cub for 750. and just found one for 200 with some issues(missing parts) but im in ga. I know there aint that many out there. you might have to come to the midwest to find something in that price range but then you got to pay to get it home.- dirtyred

i got a c that has no spark at all engine turns freely with hand crank. Points look good rotor is wore but not bad looks like it has a alternator on it and the battery is a 12 volt but the starter wont engage so i took it off. the battery just cranks it dont it or do i need it all hooked up...- dirtyred
