    case brush harrow

I have asked this question on the implement forum to no avail--- so here goes, does anyone on the Case forum know of a parts source for a Case M series brush harrow? Specifically, I am looking for a bearing spool and a couple of bearing shells. I have a parts list with part #s if needed. I am...

    Gleaner F2 help

I have encountered this before, and when the chopper blades get rounded off they will not grab the bean stalks causing the trash to be thrown back up on the walkers. You can change your blades to the oposite side if they have not already been turned over or drop the chopper and get to cutting.

    400 paint,HELP

It seems to me the 2150 gets darker after it cures out. However, it takes it a while to get there. When first applied it does seem to have an orange tint but, after a few weeks it gets to looking more like the old farmall red.

    C-O-M

I have owned a 63 model 830 and two 66 models and after thousands of hours of hard work, nothing and I mean nothing failed on any of them as far as the COM was concerned. A very durable and handy set up for pto work or just about any kind of chore.

where your brand loyalty came from?

I suppose this topic is about what you grew up with, because all of the post so far refer to the younger days. I would have to say I am loyal to what I could afford because thats what dad did and I have tried them all at one time or another. But, I will say that in my 40 something years of...

    OT Farm truck

I have one of these trucks the same model and same engine. I have had a few weird things happen to mine like this. I would throw the serpatine belt because there are a number of items on the front of the engine that could cause this as mine done this one time. The vaccum pump that runs the brake...

656 farmall diesel hard to start

I agree with allan, I have had 560's and 706's and every kind of glow plug IH engine made. Twist the pump which is advancing the timing a little bit and your starting problems are over. I very seldom had to use the glow plugs after learning this trick from an old IH mechanic. Unless your pump is...

    New history channel show Harvest

Well, I've learned one thing for sure and thats the fact the Roland crew has way way too much trouble with New Holland combines. I don't believe I would care to own one. And since when did they put pyrometers on combines, I mean how could you tell the turbo is at 1700 if you didn't have a temp...

    OT: Coveralls and age

Personally, I'd rather see bibs and coveralls than pants down below their crack with their drawers showing. I don't beleive there is an age limit on this. Just my thinking out loud.

    3588 radiator replacement

Shane, as I racall there is a stop on the track in the very front tha has to come out to allow the hood to slide completely off. It's been a while since I had one but, two guys can handle that front piece of the hood as I had to replace mine in the field. You can handle that with a little help.

    3588 radiator replacement

I too have completed this task. The worse part was getting the blasted hood off. Myself and a big strong lad lifted it straight up after undoing about a dozen bolts on each side. It was alot easier than splitting that rascal and replacing the pins and bushings.

    Things remembered

Poppin John, I loved your comments as I still live in N.E.Ark. I too was raised in the house you described and we made a living on 120 acres with a 446 Massey Harris and a WD-45 Allis Chalmers. I can remember quit well coming home from school and going to the feild and working till dark. In the...

    Tractor hauler

That's a good looking ride to be a 90 model. There is some advantage to being an early model as that truck will be mechanical instead of electronic which could be alot better. The electronic operated fuel systems tend to get real exspensive when the components start going bad such as ecm's and...

    thinking about buying a D17

Hey there, in my opinion, the D 17 was one of the best Allis Chalmers ever made. I have a series 3 and 4 and they are the best chore tractors you could own. They have 54 h.p. and are quite easy to get around in any job you might need them for. The 4 has live hydraulics but that is only a plus...
