    On our Ford 3600 gas tractor, the tractor sat for awhile and now we see that the power steering fluid has gelled. Any clue what would cause this. By the way the power steering is working OK. Cannot see how to drain the ps fluid. Thanks

    Stop Those Leaks - Ford 3000

    We need to replace our shutoff as well on our 3600. Wonder if you had any problems removing it from the tank, ours doesn't want to budge.

    Clutch

    Thanks for the reply and the clutch is not that old, only been in there for approx. one year. The pto clutch works real good. Will check the free play in the morning and try to adjust to about inch and a half.

    Clutch

    The clutch on our 3600 diesel engages right up top on the pedal and is real fierce (just cannot take off smooth) almost lifts the front wheels off the ground! How do we go about adjusting it, any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    3600 Carb Flooding

    Just to follow up, the float was the problem. Drained the gas and put fresh gas in, ran rough for awhile but it straightened out and ran fine. Thanks for your help. Roy

    Thanks for the reply, and yes you are right, we did not check it out good enough. Will do that first thing in the morning. Forgot about the float maybe being stuck, will definitely try tapping it. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

    Our 3600 doesn't want to start, hasn't been used the whole winter. When you try to start it the gas just flows out the bottom of the carb bowl. Any ideas what to do. Thanks

    Hi Oro, Sorry can't help you, trying to work this out ourselves. They do say the diesel caps are vented but they say they can't be used on the gas tractors, still don't know the reason ? ?

    Thanks Bob, What was wrong with the old caps that they brought this Retrofit Program out. Spoke to our dealer about it and he says the cap would cost us over $100. That is brutal!

    We have a Ford 3600 3 cyl gas and the fuel cap is no good and the only one we can find specifies it is for diesel (vented). Would it make any difference to use the diesel cap? Thanks

    Direct or Indirect Injection

    We live up in Canada and our 65 starts real good. If it is below freezing, then we usually plug it in, it has the high output block heater in it so it only takes about 10 minutes.
