    Another Combine Question

I had the same problem with the K I had several years ago. The main shaft out of the trans broke. Had to drop the tranny and had the dealer put a new shaft in. Wasn't too bad a job, but I was younger and more limber then. think it cost about $400 . Had one round of beans left. Had the neighbor...

Not really an antique question, but someone here should know. What do the TN TS TC etc stand for in the NH tractors model numbers? thanks, Doug.

    info on wood drag harrows

I've got a 5 section like you describe. Steel evener with it has " Lindsey "stenciled on it. But I don't think its the original. Sections have been repainted so nothing on them. I thought I read somewhere that you could still buy new ones. This one is definetly factory made.

F2 and 324 vs the bear

Working the last field today. Wife was filling some wagons with cob corn for feeding. Said she hit a big mound and then a hole. picker came down so hard it knocked a gathering chain off and ate it.She said it was a bear den. My thought was ya sure it was. Out in the middle of a nearly flat...

    F2 Cleaning shoe

I ran 4 loads today and the collars I made held the bushings on. When I put the bushings back on I had to use a hammer but they weren't as tight as others have said they should be, but certainly no slop in them. Just wondering if this will cause problems down the road. Nearly done this year so...

    F2 Cleaning shoe

Yes that's the end that came off. I am very abundant with oil on anything that moves so that may be the problem. they went back on hard, but not as hard as you describe. only have about 15A left so the collar I made should hold them on. May have to replace them before next year. thanks for your...

Didn't read close enough. Thought you were looking at a 315. that was mentioned in another reply. But my experience is that the 300 series head for the F's are hard to find .

    F315 head on F

I just bought an F2 with a 313 flex head. previous owner had used it many years without any auto header height controller. He said it worked well running the height manually. I put it on my F3 which doesn't have the control module. I only had 9 acres of late beans left and combined them in...

    F2 unloading auger

Dry bearings were the problem. Soaked it with WD40 this morning and went back after dinner and soaked it again and worked the hyd back and forth and it soon moved . Poured oil on it while moving back and forth. Moves smooth now. It's funny that the bearings didn't complain before it wouldn't...

    F2 unloading auger

Went to unload the last hopper tonight and the auger wouldn't go out. Will raise about 4" and stop. Goes back down ok. Chain that moves the auger is tight but not super tight like it would be if the auger was binding. Acts like when one hose comes unhooked from the tractor and you try to raise...

    F2 bearing

Took the adjustable cyl drive pulley and sprocket apart on the junk F today. sprocket spun off with 2 fingers. After looking at that was able to get the one off the F2 .{some dummy was turning it the wrong direction}.Still took a pipe wrench most of the way. Bearing was totally gone but...

Oliver 207 Rake. What Tire Size?

I would check the lifting linkage if you can't get it high enough. Should be some adjustment or something is really worn. I have a 307 and have no problem getting it high enough. Think it has 15" tires.
