    I meant to say back to the starter. It always meant a rebuild on the starter for me.

    One other thing to think about is the back to the starter. Did you use a 12V battery to jump it with? Because a 12V battery will spin a 6V starter pretty fast, even if it is weak. I've been down this road several times, sometimes some of the wire connections within the starter wear down...

    I'm trying to rewire the lights on the old girl and trying to use some of the old harness. Some one has gotten thier grubby little fingers into it before and made a mess. Anyone have any suggestions or have an idea about some wiring diagrams. Thanks Doc
