    Hitch for Allis Chalmers WD45

ALSO, be absolutely sure that screw "D" is screwed 100% out (forward) up against the torque housing.

    Hitch for Allis Chalmers WD45

LET'S GET SOMETHING UNDERSTOOD HERE. THE WAY YOUR TRACTOR IS CONFIGURED (MISSING PARTS) YOU WILL HAVE TO KEEP THAT THUMBSCREW TIP IN THE DIVOT FOR ANYTHING TO EVER WORK RIGHT. SO, THE ONLY THING YOU WON'T HAVE IS TRACTION BOOSTER AND YOU AIN'T PLOWING, SO THAT'S FINE. Pumps that don't pump when...

    Hitch for Allis Chalmers WD45

I guess I'm too stupid to understand what your problem is now ?? Hand lever clear up and the lift arms should raise. Hand lever approximately half-way on the quadrant and the pump stops lifting, but the hold valve (on top of the pump) "holds" the load where you have it. Fully down with the hand...

    Hitch for Allis Chalmers WD45

If this is true, there's something wrong inside the pump. When that weight transfer lever thumbscrew is in the official divot and the hand lever is fully down on the quadrant, the hyd pump cannot pump oil. The color picture shown just above my post here isn't in the correct position. The way...

    Hitch for Allis Chalmers WD45

Your post says you can rotate the lever CCW and the arms will lower. When you let go of the lever they raise. You cannot have the thumbscrew tip into the divot I am talking about !!!!!!!!!

    Hitch for Allis Chalmers WD45

Do these things in order: #1. Remove the new spring you just installed. #2. With the engine off, rotate that lever CCWise until you can see the DIVOT on the side of the pump housing. You may need a flashlite to see this DIVOT. #3. Screw in the thumbscrew on the lever so the point of the...

Allis chalmers 175 gear shift assembly

Yup. Either one should work. I'd maybe try to get 1960 or newer if from a D-17 but anything would be better than what you have.

Allis chalmers 175 gear shift assembly

I've seen worse, I guess. Shift the transmission into 2nd gear and shift the shift cover also into 2nd gear to assemble. Dowel bolts in left front and right rear corners of the shifting cover.

Allis Chalmers D17 - Fuel Tank Studs

Is this an older series D-17?? You say "straps", which to me means more than one (cross) strap. Tractors before chassis s/n 24001 never had the strap that goes from the steering column forward to the battery area. Many of them got updated to that extra strap improvement and you can tell because...

    Manifold studs

Honestly, if you use nothing, they eventually quit seeping if you have threaded them all the way in. I usually just use RTV of any color wiped on the threads.

And you have called an AGCO dealer ?? what did they say ??

D17 power steering - governor driven pump

Remove the steering box fill vent tube. Oil level should be just above the gear inside. Start the engine and throttle it up to half or more. Look inside with a flashlite and see if the oil is moving around. If the oil isn't moving, I'd say the pump has issues. Start with some diagnosis instead...

Allis chalmers 175 gear shift assembly

One from a D-17 or D-19 will fit. Remember the front left and right rear cover bolts are alignment dowels, so get all the hardware if you can. What kind of shape are the transmission gears?? shifting collars ??

D17 power steering - governor driven pump

I think you better drive it for at least 30 minutes and down the road always to get some good information.
