    Esco tire remover

That's a really neat tool and would save much time wrestling with that tire. Half the battle is breaking tires from the rim (especially calcium rusted wheels). Will it break beads from the rim too?

    Diesel flywheel

The experience I had with an 830 case was the diesel starter drive had 12 teeth and the gas drive has 9 teeth but they should be the same otherwise. If changing from a COM to a standard clutch set-up the fly-wheel of course is different and must be changed.

    PTO issues

Thanks Adirondack case guy for the info.(like the animation!) My 830 is a 1961 model w/eagal hitch. It has a small 2bolt cover on the right side. Never adjusted one, is that tool the only way or can it be fudged? Guess I could make one but need to know what I'm doing for sure. Thank you for...

    PTO issues

The pto on my Case 830 seems to be slipping at times in heavy grass. The information I have is vague on checking or adjusting the clutch Except for using special tool A-7942, can anyone give me a little insight or good advice about what to look for? Thanks DRF

    well, it finally blew

I've been there once. Ferie and I were coming home on the county road & the left rear blew. For a mile we limped home nearly shredded that 13.6x28. A slow, rough ride. I had another 12.4x28 mounted on a rim that worked but really looked strange. DRF

    Case 770 Problems

Timing, fuel, or compression, has to be one of these or a combination. Double check the timing.

    830 Case clutch

Yeah, the son is a cowboy but he's had lots of tractor experience especially with this one. The throw out berg. is good as is the actuating leaver. The movement of the PP levers seems to be good. I don't see how the throw out could be put in wrong on this model but I've seen stranger things...

    830 Case clutch

I replaced the clutch & pressure plate, throw-out brg., & input shaft 5 months ago on this 830 diesel which worked smooth & well till a month or so ago when my son was mowing with it and the clutch wouldn"t release. The plate seems to be operating as it did and no adjustment helps. It will...

    Case 830 transmissions clutches/com

mEL, Thanks for the reply I'm deciding at this point what to do with it. I had it apart this spring and repaired the unit. The bolts that hold the three dogs(keys)in place that hold the clutches had broken and broke a clutch plate and 2 disks. After month and several hundred $ I got it...

    Case 830 transmissions clutches/com

Does anyone have experience in changing a COM to a standard dry clutch type drive? I'm tired of dealing with the problems of this Case-o-Matic.

Connecting Rod Bolts for 172 Diesel

$32.00 for 1 bolt? Don't think titanium cost that much. As he said if they aren't damaged those bolts can usually be reused, In 30 years I only had one ever break & on my own truck but was able to save it before everything came apart.
