    Ford 5500 Hydraulic pump

Generally an inlet leak or restriction is what aerates the fluid like that. Check all inlet housing to make sure the inner liner is not collapsing. Pump looks like a Vickers 3525V VHO vane pump, look at the flat pad on the rear cover to see if it has a model number. If you are mechanically...

    450 T handle

When I did my loader handles I drilled the holes out oversize and used bronze bushings that I got from McMaster Carr. When they get loose again I just replace the bushings, just a thought.

    New to Me TO35 Diesel

If the injector pump timing is off and you can't get it closer, since it is run off of the camshaft my guess is the timing chain is stretched and/or the tensioner is bad. Fixing the valve/injector timing on mine even with the need of a rebuild made a difference with the cold start. Warm restarts...

    New to Me TO35 Diesel

How good it the starter? Does it spin the engine over quickly? I've replaced the original starter with a Lucas M50, it spins the engine over much faster than the original. The no restart can be caused from any number of reasons. Mine has a worn/weak head on the injector pump. If I set the...

    New to Me TO35 Diesel

When I rebuilt the engine yes I cleaned the pre-combustion chambers, had too. Most of the exhaust ports and the exhaust manifold were all but plugged up with carbon. I replaced all the valves, they were badly carboned up as well. I have one battery. The glow plugs are 12v wired in parallel...

    New to Me TO35 Diesel

I to have a T035 with 23C Diesel. It does have glow plugs and I've replaced the factory type with newer 12V glow plugs. It will start at any temperature after a little heat. After the first start it will start all the time with no heat. I've found with mine it knocks and smokes as well when cold...

    1975 John Deere 450c dozer

I'm sort of in the same situation. I have to replace a brake on the right side. While I have it all torn down that far I will do both sides and replace the seals and check the clutch plates and steels. I'm building an out building with concrete pad so I'm not out in the yard and the...

1952 TO30 lift gets weak after warmed up.

Charles in Aus. Yes it is heavy indeed. I have a T035 I ended up using a engine lift to get mine off and back on. FYI, while getting it off is one thing getting back on and lining up the linkage is another, at least on a 35 it is.

    CATERPILLAR D4D 83J04055

As Stan (JD Crawler WS) would say "There's No Such Thing As A Cheap Crawler!" They all cost money to run and maintain. The beauty is it's yours and you can work and fix it at your pace, or, ability to pay for the parts. For me and clearing my property it was the best money I could have spent.
